I have been restoring my BMW 550i. I ordered a front left side brake caliper from RockAuto.com. It was about 2 weeks before I could replace the caliper because I was waiting on other parts I was replacing on my car. I was doing a complete brake and strut job and sensor replacement on my car; I lost track of the box the front left side caliper came in and through it out. A few days later I went to retrieve the shipping label and purchase receipt from RockAuto.com to return the caliper for my core charge. RockAuto.com stated that I was unable to return the caliper because I had thrown out the original box the new came in. I was denied the papers I needed to get my core charge back. RockAuto.com stole my money. Even though it was not a lot of money, it was my hard-earned money regardless. RockAuto.com stipulates that if the core product isn’t returned in original packaging the manufacturer doesn’t like this and they cannot prove proof of purchase. I’m like WTF is a purchase receipt for. Something to wipe my hairy a** with.
